Sorry, I've never really used DA groups much before, so I'm still trying to find out how this all works.
I'm currently writing a super hero story (and some art, too) that I'd like to be able to share with those who might enjoy it. Is this the right place to go to share my work?

Yeah, I likely won't. Just can't keep up with monthly payment and playing MMO games.
